Katherine Bedolla,
Development Committee Chair

Katherine Bedolla is an alumnus of and parent of current students at SHPS. She is a local business owner who has owned and operated Bishop-Lusink Insurance since 2000. Her insurance specialty is working with small businesses and non-profits.

Calla Bertao,
Mission Effectiveness Committee Chair

Calla Bertao is a local Realtor. She, along with her husband own and manage a real estate office here in Hollister. She is also a past parent of the school and served on the PASS board.

John Brigantino,
Finance Committee Member

John Brigantino is a Real Estate broker with San Benito Realty, Inc. He is a life-long Hollister resident and an alumnus of SHPS (Class of 1977). All three of John’s children are graduates of SHPS.

Tim Chiala,
Buildings and Grounds Committee Chair

Tim Chiala is the Chief Operating Officer of George Chiala Farms, Inc. George Chiala Farms is a grower and processor of fruits and vegetables in Santa Clara and San Benito counties. Tim’s three children attend SHPS.

Colleen Eagleson

Colleen Eagleson is the Principal of Notre Dame High School, an all girls school in Salinas.

Jennifer Flores,
Executive Secretary and Policy and Planning Committee Chair

Jennifer Flores is an attorney. She is the parent of two children who attend SHPS.

Mary Hubbell,
Executive Chair and Finance Committee Member

Mary Hubbell is partner at a local CPA, Bianchi, Kasavan and Pope LLP. She is a member of Immaculate Conception Parish in Tres Piños.

Pat McCullough,
Executive Vice Chair and Policy and Planning Committee Chair

Pat McCullough is the General Manager of a contract sterilization facility. He is the parent of three SHPS graduates and has been married for 28 years. Pat is also an alumnus of SHPS (Class of 1975).

Chang So,
Development Committee Member

Chang So is a local business owner/operator. He is a parent to two who are active in sports and music. Chang currently serves on both the San Benito Aquatics Board and the St. Francis High School Parents Association.

Gene Zanger,
Finance Committee Chair

Gene Zanger and his wife Annie are the parents of Lukas and Caitlin, students at Sacred Heart School. Gene, a graduate of Sacred Heart School (Class of 1976), is also a partner at Casa de Fruta.

Q: What is the Board of Limited Jurisdiction?

A: Members of the BOLJ are advocates for the school. The board is made up of community members, parishioners, parents, alumni, PASS President, the principal, and clergy. The board is responsible for:

  • Policy formulation or guidance;
  • Strategic and long-range planning;
  • Institutional advancement;
  • Financial oversight and assistance with the preparation and monitoring of the school budget and long-range financial plan;
  • Evaluation, including:
    • Board self-evaluation;
    • Evaluation of policies and plans;
    • Participation in the evaluation of the principal;
  • Marketing, Development, and Communication

A: The board meets the last Wednesday of every month at 5:30 PM in the school library, with some exceptions.
